It’s the perfect day to play a few flash games, all very entertaining and fun. This time around: Olympic events with Sonic and Mario, escaping the Tower of Destiny, and the story of a kitten who must save his kingdom from an invasion of monsters from another world. Excellent!
Sonic vs Mario Olimpiadas
Sonic vs Mario Olimpiadas: As is customary, the Olympic Games are held every four years, and the blue hedgehog and the most famous plumber compete in a new game. Sonic vs Mario Olimpiadas offers three Olympic events in which you must win with your chosen character. You can pick any of the Mario and Sonic characters, from Luigi to Knuckles, along with other celebrities who have nothing to do with them but show up anyway. The three Olympic events are the 10,000 meters, cross-country skiing (but running), and swimming. The tracks are full of obstacles, rings to earn points, and weapons to leave your rivals behind and make your way to the finish line. The game is a bit lopsided, but fun.
Super Boxtron 2000
Super Boxtron 2000: A very crazy game in which the hero faces boxes full of power that you must destroy if you want to reach the next level. Of course, Super Boxtron 2000 has its challenge, and you must be very careful when stepping, because you can be crushed by one of these boxes or pricked by the spikes. As you destroy the boxes, you can collect little cards, which are the game’s currency, to spend on new weapons and upgrades for your character. The boxes may be dumb, but the designer of this game is not.
Cool Cat Story
Cool Cat Story: The coolest cat in the world has to protect the kingdom from an invasion of monsters from another world. In Cool Cat Story you have to tap the hordes of monsters with your finger to eliminate them. If any of them manages to cross to the other side, you lose a heart. In some levels you have to protect the villagers, and there are also boss battles. Tap all enemies consecutively to increase your combo number and earn many points at the end of the level to get a star. Stars are used to buy and upgrade special abilities (like freezing or eliminating all monsters on screen). Fun and fast.
Tower of Destiny
Tower of Destiny: This game is played with only one button, but don’t think it will be easier for that. Oh, of course not. Here you are locked in a tower and you can only go out through the top. In each room of Tower of Destiny you must grab the treasure chest so that the ladder falls, granting access to the next level. There are also coins, which you can spend on upgrades and costumes for your character, and enemies, which you can only eliminate by jumping on them. Climb as high as possible and get the highest score you can. Grab the chests, gems, and avoid dangerous obstacles if you want to escape alive from that horrible place.
Phantom Knight
Phantom Knight: A fun game, which seems more like a demo, in which you control a reborn warrior who must face the evil black knight that plagues the castle. To do this, you have to go into the fortress, fighting other knights and wizards, climbing stairs, jumping between platforms, and activating levers to raise bridges; all while grabbing gems and avoiding the deadly traps of the scenario. Soon you’ll reach the final fight against your nemesis. Phantom Knight is too short a game with very good ideas, but it leaves the feeling that they haven’t been sufficiently exploited.
