This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the release of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green in Japan, and to celebrate, there's nothing better than a new game of the famous pocket monsters. Pokémon Sun & Moon is the seventh generation of games that introduces new Pokémon and evolutions.
Seventh Generation Adventure
Pokémon Sun & Moon is the successor to Pokémon X & Y for Nintendo 3DS, and includes a new world inhabited by new Pokémon and trainers, with many adventures to discover. Among the new creatures is Sivally, a Pokémon that changes its type based on certain objects you carry, making it suitable for every occasion.
You can also glimpse the evolutions of Hakamo-o to Kommo-o (dragon/fighting type), Steenee to Tsareena (grass type), and Cutiefly to Ribombee (bug/fairy type), as well as the new Alolan forms of Grimer and Muk. Several creatures have different forms to adapt to the climate of Alola, the new tropical region of Pokémon Sun & Moon, changing appearance, type, and abilities. Character customization and the Mega Evolutions seen in Pokémon X & Y will continue, along with a new system called Pokémon Refresh that lets you care for and feed your Pokémon.
Pokémon Bank and Language Options
Pokémon Sun & Moon will be compatible with Pokémon Bank, an online storage system where you can transfer Pokémon you've caught in Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow to this new game. Pokémon caught in Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, and Pokémon Y can also be transferred the same way. An interesting detail is that this is the first game in the Pokémon franchise to let you choose among nine languages: simplified and traditional Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, and Korean. Pokémon Sun & Moon is being developed by Game Freak and will be available exclusively on Nintendo 3DS starting November 18, 2016.
