On November 5, 2026, 9to5Google reported seeing Google Find Hub’s “Notify when left behind” setting for US users with selected trackers. The alert is designed to notify a phone when a supported tag becomes separated from it.

NeoTeo previously covered Google’s October 2026 system notes. The later report describes the setting appearing in Find Hub.

Which trackers showed the setting?

Dark-mode Find Hub device details for Chipolo POP, with the “Notify when left behind” setting and an exception for one location.

9to5Google reported seeing the option with Chipolo trackers and Moto Tag, but not headphones, in Find Hub version 3.1.787-06. That is the version in which the setting was observed.

How to turn on the alert

The setting is configured for each tracker. In Find Hub, select a tag, open the settings gear on its device details screen, then turn on Notify when left behind.

The setting applies per tracker, so enable it separately for each tag you want covered.

By default, the exception is the Home address saved to the user’s Google Account through Google Maps.

What users are asking for

Reddit commenters expressed interest in broader tracker support. One said the Find Hub feature might persuade them to stop using Tile; another wanted the alert for Pixel Buds. The reported observation did not show the setting for headphones.

A commenter also described Find Hub showing their keys as nearby while the keys were near their watch. That comment concerned the location display, not a left-behind alert. Another commenter described Samsung Galaxy Tag alerts as useful for their keys.
