Lara Croft is preparing for her first expedition as a tomb raider, trying to uncover the secret of immortality. Don't miss the gameplay trailer for Rise of the Tomb Raider where Lara faces the dangers of nature.
Surviving the Deadly Wilds of Siberia
In this video of Rise of the Tomb Raider, we'll see how to use Lara Croft's new abilities to survive in the remote and deadly lands of Siberia. Here you'll need to use your instincts to survive in a wild world where every resource is vital for survival. The wildlife has several dangers lurking, such as bears and packs of wolves, that protect the secrets the environment hides. Lara must face these threats while searching for clues and gathering the necessary resources. She will often be outnumbered, and that's where you should use the crafting system for ammunition and medical supplies, and improving weapons to defeat these deadly predators.
Hunting, Crafting and Upgrading
By hunting, Lara will be rewarded with experience that can be used to improve her abilities as the adventure progresses. When using weapons, you can choose between a stealthy style (bow and arrow), violent (using firearms) or a mix of both. The settings in Rise of the Tomb Raider are two to three times larger than those of the previous game. When exploring these settings, Lara can discover new challenges and accept missions from various friendly characters. This is important because helping allies not only rewards Lara with valuable experience points, but can also gain access to new areas, objects and abilities.
Choose Your Approach
Whether destroying drones, dismantling the enemy's communication equipment or directly attacking them head-on, you'll have several options to choose from, either to go unnoticed or attract the attention of an entire hostile group in an area. The options presented will grow in number as Lara overcomes the dangers of her journey in her fight against the Trinity organization. Rise of the Tomb Raider is being developed by Crystal Dynamics and will be available on Xbox 360 and Xbox Uno starting November 13, 2015. The Windows version will release in early 2016, and the PlayStation 4 version will arrive in late 2016.
