That does not create one universal European retail price. It does show a market pulling in several directions at once—with some midrange cards below their catalog figures and high-end models carrying enormous premiums.

The RTX 5090 is the outlier
The RTX 5090’s gap is hard to miss: the €4,600 minimum observed price is €2,501 above its €2,099 catalog figure. The same snapshot reports a +34.1% change in the minimum price over 30 days.
That trend and the premium measure are different things. The 119.2% figure compares the observed minimum with the catalog baseline; the 34.1% figure tracks how that minimum changed during the preceding 30 days. Mixing them would make the situation look simpler than it is—and the situation is already plenty messy.

Which models are closer to catalog price?

What memory demand can—and cannot—explain
Market reporting connects AI-related demand for memory with constrained supply and pressure on consumer GPU pricing. That is useful context, but it does not prove that AI demand alone caused every premium in the table.
One 2026 forecast puts DRAM supply growth at 16%. That figure applies specifically to DRAM; it is not a forecast for every type of memory or for NAND. But it should not be converted into a present-day American buying recommendation—or compared directly with the European €4,600 observation as though both figures described the same market conditions.
What this means if you are shopping
Treat the catalog price as a reference point, then look at the model-specific gap rather than assuming every RTX 50 card carries the RTX 5090’s premium. In this snapshot, the GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti 8G sit below catalog pricing, while the Radeon RX 9070 is close to its baseline.
