Samsung reportedly plans to launch its Intelligent Eyewear in November 2026, according to a Samsung Electronics official cited in a report published October 1. In May, Samsung announced a broader fall 2026 window for first collections in select markets.
Samsung and Google first previewed the glasses at Google I/O in May 2026. Samsung presented them in greater detail at Galaxy Unpacked in London on July 22. The product is officially called Intelligent Eyewear; some coverage refers to it as Galaxy Glasses.
A phone-linked design with Gemini
Samsung describes Intelligent Eyewear as a companion to a Galaxy phone, using Android XR and Google’s Gemini. The announced design is reported to be display-free, with camera input, microphones and speakers supporting hands-free assistance.
Samsung lists translation, navigation, notifications, prompted photo capture and live visual sharing among the planned experiences. The glasses were developed with eyewear design partners Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. Samsung says feature availability can depend on compatible devices, apps and services, as well as language, region, network conditions and permissions.
Samsung’s stated battery and recording safeguards
Samsung says the glasses can provide up to nine hours of active use on one charge, including demanding Gemini and video-recording use. The charging case can provide more than seven full recharges. Battery life varies with network conditions, features, apps, settings and other factors.
Samsung also says inner and outer lights indicate when recording is active. Recording is disabled when the glasses are removed, and the camera is disabled if the outer indicator is blocked.
