By October 8, reports placed stable One UI 9 on the Galaxy S24 family, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy A57 5G in South Korea. Separately, a reported global expansion for selected Galaxy S25 and Z7 models began October 6. U.S. rollout reports cover additional named models, with timing varying by device and carrier.
Samsung announced on September 16 that its initial One UI 9 expansion began with the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. It also said One UI 9 had debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. Those Fold8 and Flip8 devices belong to the software’s debut, not the dated S26 rollout announcement. Samsung’s announcement sets out that initial scope.
NeoTeo’s earlier coverage of the reported Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 rollout provides context for these later updates.
One UI 9 rollout by Galaxy model group
The rollout reports cover different model groups and regions; they do not describe one simultaneous release across every Galaxy device.
| Galaxy models | Reported rollout scope | Timing |
| Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra | Initial Samsung rollout | Samsung announced the rollout began September 16, 2026 |
| Selected Galaxy S25 and Z7 models | Reported global expansion | Reported as beginning October 6, 2026 |
| Galaxy S26 family | United States; staged rollout | U.S. stages were reported from September 23, with expansion on September 28, 2026 |
| Galaxy S25 family, S25 FE, S25 Edge, Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 | United States; staged rollout for selected models | U.S. stages were reported from October 2 through October 5, 2026 |
| Galaxy S24 family, Z Fold6, Z Flip6 and A57 5G | South Korea | Stable rollout reported by October 8, 2026 |
The U.S. reports name staged rollouts for the Galaxy S26 family, Galaxy S25 family, S25 FE, S25 Edge, Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. Carrier and unlocked-device stages differ. That makes the model name alone an incomplete guide to whether an update has reached a particular phone.

Why Galaxy update timing varies
Samsung says One UI availability and feature support can vary by device model, country or region, carrier and language. A rollout can therefore reach one model or carrier before another, even within a named Galaxy family.
Samsung highlights features including Now Nudge, Now Brief, My FanCam and Photo Assist, while noting that availability varies. Its One UI information page also directs Galaxy owners to Samsung Members for device compatibility and release timing.
How to check for One UI 9
On a Galaxy phone, open Settings > Software update > Download and install to check for an update. For model-specific compatibility and release timing, Samsung points owners to Samsung Members.
What One UI 9 looks like on a Galaxy S25 Ultra
A walkthrough on a Galaxy S25 Ultra demonstrates interface details that a rollout list cannot convey: the Quick Panel separates toggles from resizable media and volume sliders, and My Files opens PDF documents for viewing.
