These days we regularly share passwords with friends and colleagues. But many of us don't realize how vulnerable it is to share a password through conventional means. That's why we present “PasswordPusher”, a platform that lets you share passwords securely via a link. You can set the link to expire after a certain amount of time or after a certain number of visits. When the established rules are met, the link expires and is permanently deleted from the server.
How to Share a Password Securely
Anyone you send the URL to can view the password and use it for the corresponding service. The first thing you need to do is visit the PasswordPusher website. You don't need to download anything or complete any registration.
When the page opens, you'll need to enter the password or note in the dialog box. After that, you'll determine the link's expiration both in days and in the number of visits. You can do this using the sliders below the dialog box. The expiration in days can vary from 1 to 90 days, and visits from 1 to 100 visits.
At this point, we recommend that you uncheck the option “Allow viewers to optionally delete password before expiration”. If this box remains selected, any user with access to the URL can delete the link whenever they want.
The only thing left is to click “Push it!” And that's it! There are other similar services that let you share passwords and notes securely. But they lack the ability to delete the link after a certain number of days or visits. For that reason, PasswordPusher is a very good option to keep us safe on the web.
