Utsuro creator levi said on October 18, 2026, that Minecraft: Xbox One Edition ran on iOS. The project README separately says its iOS builds had not been tested on a phone. Its specific game results are for the Mac build: the project marks Minecraft: Xbox One Edition and Sonic Mania playable, while Rocket League has significant reported limitations.

How Utsuro runs Xbox One software

Utsuro describes itself as a translation layer, not an emulator of Xbox One hardware. The project says it runs the console’s Windows-derived userland as x86-64 under FEXCore and supplies system components. In other words, its approach runs software from that environment on another platform rather than recreating the console’s hardware.

The games Utsuro reports running on Mac

The project lists three specific game versions for its Mac build. Its reported frame rates are approximate and apply to that build, not to iPhone performance.

Game and versionMac-build statusApproximate frame rateReported limitations
Minecraft: Xbox One Edition 1.2.0.0Playable36–60 fpsNone listed
Sonic Mania 1.0.4.2Playable57 fpsNone listed
Rocket League 1.0.4.2Matches render and respond to a controller15–20 fpsDark lighting and no audio

The distinction matters: the project labels the first two games playable, but reports rendering and controller response, rather than playable status, for Rocket League. These are project-reported Mac results.

What the iOS announcement says

In the October 18 post, creator levi claimed that Minecraft: Xbox One Edition ran on iOS. The README says iOS builds existed but had not been tested on a phone. The creator’s claim and the README’s phone-testing statement describe different scopes; the Mac results do not supply an iPhone game list.

Game files, build requirements, and controllers

Utsuro does not include games. Its project instructions require a decrypted game dump containing the Mount/ and EmbeddedXvd/ directories. The Mac build instructions name Xcode, a Metal toolchain, and a macOS FEXCore build. For iOS packaging, the project lists executable-memory access through a debugger, its built-in StikJIT helper on iOS 26 or later, TrollStore, or a jailbreak. These are project-listed options, not a guarantee that each works on every device or software setup. Utsuro’s project documentation

For Apple-device pairing, Apple lists the Xbox Wireless Controller with Bluetooth, model 1708; Xbox Series S and Series X controllers; Xbox Elite Series 2; and Xbox Adaptive Controller. Its instructions are to turn on the controller, hold its connection button, then select it in Bluetooth settings. The listing does not mean every Xbox One controller has Bluetooth. Pairing a controller with an Apple device also does not establish support for it in Utsuro’s iOS build. Apple’s Xbox controller pairing instructions
