Starlink Community’s host-interest form appeared to accept applications from the United States, according to reporting published Oct. 1. The proposed program would let a host set up a Starlink site where nearby users could buy time-limited internet passes.
How the proposed host model works
One Starlink Kit would serve multiple nearby users. The host would set up and maintain the site, while Starlink is described as managing payments, user access and connectivity. Hosts would earn from connections.
The model is designed around access passes rather than a single shared account: users could buy access for an hour, a day, a week or a month. Possible host sites include businesses, residential communities and public community spaces.
Pass durations and reported device limits
The described passes cover four durations: one hour, one day, one week and one month. Reported terms allow one device on an hour or day pass and up to four devices on a month pass.
