Tachyum s.r.o., the Slovak company responsible for much of Prodigy’s development, reportedly filed voluntarily for bankruptcy on October 22, 2026. A separate winding-up petition names Tachyum Ltd., the group’s Cayman Islands parent, with BWB LLC as petitioner.
The Slovak filing concerns Tachyum s.r.o.
Tom’s Hardware reported that the Bratislava III Municipal Court subsequently opened bankruptcy proceedings after finding the filing met legal requirements. The reported court action followed the October 22 filing; the two events involve Tachyum s.r.o. in Slovakia.
BWB LLC petitioned against Tachyum Ltd. in the Cayman Islands
OffshoreAlert identifies BWB LLC, based in Miami, Florida, as the petitioner against Tachyum Ltd. at the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands. This is a separate matter from the Slovak bankruptcy proceeding and concerns a different Tachyum entity.
Patent listings name Tachyum Ltd. on specific records
Justia lists Tachyum Ltd. as the applicant for patent application 20260268963, “HIGH BANDWIDTH DIMM ARCHITECTURE,” published September 10, 2026. The listing also names Tachyum Ltd. for patent 12211577, “Layout for dual in-line memory to support 128-byte cache line processor,” dated January 28, 2025. Prodigy remains a proposed processor
Tom’s Hardware reported that working Prodigy silicon had not been demonstrated. Tachyum’s late-2025 chiplet redesign was a proposal for a 1,024-core processor with 24 DDR5 memory channels, a 1,600W TDP and a TSMC 2nm-class process. The reported projection put commercial availability in 2030 or later.
