GPS has completely changed the way we travel, but nothing stops us from using it for other purposes, like art. Across the web you can find plenty of "GPS artists" who hop on their favorite vehicles and take highly personalized routes, trying to draw something eye-catching and easy to recognize. Today we're exploring the work of WallyGPX, who has covered Instagram with his drawings, one bicycle ride at a time.
At first glance, they look like doodles any kid could sketch in Paint when bored and offline, but we shouldn't ignore the fact that there's someone moving, passing through tricky parts of the city, and repeating previous routes whenever it's "artistically" necessary. WallyGPX started his adventure eight years ago, after having practiced geocaching. GPS art is becoming increasingly popular, and even Old Spice (a brand known for its excellent online campaigns) turned it into a commercial.
