Let's start with Star Wars. The show called it Cosmic Wars, perhaps to avoid legal issues with Lucasfilm back then. Of course, there's Homer dropping the mother of all spoilers as he left The Empire Strikes Back, the actual acquisition of the franchise by Disney, Homer's "Scent of a Wookie" perfume, Ralph winning the school science fair with his official action figures, and the Comic Book Guy doing what he does best.
Marvel References
On the Marvel side, I still vividly remember the episode with Homer painted green and screaming like Hulk. Then there's Thanos wiping out almost the entire family, with Maggie as the sole survivor. There's an entire opening sequence dedicated to X-Men, several Spider-Man callouts, and a long-running joke about the Marvel Cinematic Universe's post-credits scenes.
Some voices have protested these supercuts in recent days, but the general public seems to have taken them positively. Are they really the best? Personally, I don't think so.
