Nature is an endless source of inspiration for photographers around the world. Whether the goal is to capture the smallest members or the true giants, they do extraordinary work with their lenses. But not all of us are experts, which can lead to very curious situations that deserve to be celebrated. A Facebook group called Crap Wildlife Photography compiles the best examples, and today we're sharing a humble selection.
Wildlife photography has allowed us to record moving, sad, surprising, and certainly funny moments. Some of the best examples compete in high-profile contests like Comedy Wildlife, whose 2019 edition made us laugh again and again, but behind all those images there is a professional with a camera. What happens when the photography is a bit more casual and "amateur", so to speak?
In many cases, the result is simply wonderful. Blurry photos, strange angles, photobombing... none of them are likely to end up in a catalog, but the Facebook group Crap Wildlife Photography lives up to its name by gathering the best-worst wildlife photos. With nearly 300,000 members, you'll probably find something new there every day. Below is a small gallery, but if you're on the social network, don't hesitate to join the group.
