…I see you've returned. I thought you weren't coming back, or that you'd thought it over after… taking in everything I shared with you. Remember that you have no duty here, and to be honest, loyalty can be a very dangerous thing within the Foundation. There are creatures that carry it in their flesh, and they never find peace because of it. You don't seem very convinced… very well, let's talk about SCP-1111 then…
Before we begin, yes, some SCPs are normal animals on the outside, but their abilities can be catastrophic, and now that you know that... if you happen to see a rabbit in the hallways, notify Security immediately. I'm not joking.
The area surrounding SCP-1111 is very well protected. The Foundation invented a story about a weather station, covering everything with weather balloons and sensors. The perimeter has a radius of about two kilometers, and for now it hasn't been necessary to modify it, but you know how these things are. No one dares to rule out the possibility of different behavior in both elements.
Yes, I said 'both.' You see, SCP-1111 is divided into two. The first component is… a dog. Or at least, that's what it seems at first glance. A mix between a Labrador and a German Shepherd, with white fur. The problem is… everything else. Its eyes are red and glowing, and it can also change its size. In more extreme cases it has reached a meter and a half from shoulders to the ground. It doesn't eat, doesn't drink, doesn't sleep, and doesn't breathe. Remote cameras recorded that it wears a collar with an identification tag, and it only reads "LOYAL". The Foundation calls it SCP-1111-1.
All SCP-1111-1 does is protect the second component, SCP-1111-2. The images are real… the guy is in a tree, hanging by the neck, as if he'd been executed. We don't know who he is, or how he got there. He wears a suit and dress shoes, but all his clothes are very worn. When it's calm, SCP-1111-1 lies down under SCP-1111-2, and its message is quite clear: "Don't come closer".
Of course, the Foundation gave it a try. It sent a full team, tough and well-trained guys. When they got to 300 meters from SCP-1111-2, the dog stood up. It was a massacre. The footage shows SCP-1111-1 jumping six meters into the air, running at over 60 kilometers per hour, and tearing through 15-millimeter titanium plates with mere bites as if it were paper. Bullets? They went through it from side to side, without causing harm. Only one of the agents survived, after running like hell in the opposite direction. That helped detect SCP-1111-1's limits. The dog began to lose size and definition as it moved away from SCP-1111-2. At 900 meters it stopped, howled, and ran back to SCP-1111-2.
After losing so many agents, the Foundation tried once more using Class D. One of them, D-83011, found a way to get within 50 meters of SCP-1111-2 while the dog devoured his companions. SCP-1111-2's gaze locked onto D-83011, and it raised its arms in his direction. But that's not all: SCP-1111-2 moved its lips, trying to tell the dog to stop. SCP-1111-1 didn't listen, and killed D-83011 on the spot.
That's the worst part, friend. SCP-1111-2 seems to be alive. It writhes and trembles hanging from the rope as if struggling to breathe, but we can't get close because the dog does its job too well. The Foundation stopped all rescue attempts, and now it just watches. Why? It's not hard to imagine. What if SCP-1111-2 is there for a good reason? What would happen if, with its rescue, the Foundation ends up releasing something even worse…?
