The Infectious Madness Of Doctor Dekker puts you in the role of a psychiatrist who is trying to solve a murder while treating the unusual patients of the recently deceased Doctor Dekker. In each session you gradually get to know the patients and discover that nothing is what it seems. The game is an FMV adventure with several Lovecraftian elements based on questions and answers to solve the mysterious murder of Dekker.
The interesting thing is that you have the freedom to interrogate the suspects by typing your own questions instead of selecting them from a predetermined list.
Your Words Determine Fates
There are no puzzles in The Infectious Madness Of Doctor Dekker. You just have to type a question and the patients respond via video, but you have to pay attention because they also have questions for you. Your words will determine their eventual fates, as well as yours. Besides providing clues about the murder, each patient has their own problem you must help them resolve: from time manipulation and reanimated beings to the horrors that lie under the sea. These are details that any follower of H. P. Lovecraft will appreciate.
Over 1,600 Recorded Responses
The Infectious Madness Of Doctor Dekker features more than sixteen hundred recorded video responses for the possible questions you ask the patients. While it's true that an FMV adventure typically offers little replay value once you finish the game (unless you want to watch the remaining videos that don't affect the final content), here you have an option where the murderer can alternate to another character, adding replayability. The game also lets you analyze evidence, take notes, watch replays, and review the history of questions asked during the interrogation, something similar to what we saw in Her Story.

The Infectious Madness Of Doctor Dekker is being developed by D'Avekki Studios and will be available on Windows and Mac from May 19, 2017.
