At the beginning of Portal 2, Chell gets help from the sphere Wheatley to escape the Aperture Science Enrichment Center while once again facing GLaDOS. Euro Truck Simulator 2

Category: "I already thought this game was good before it won an award" / "Relax, Take It Easy"

As stated on Steam: "This title didn't have a huge marketing machine behind it, but you found it and you loved it. Then you told your friends about it. And they loved it." And it's no wonder, because Euro Truck Simulator 2 is an excellent simulator that puts you behind the wheel of a truck to drive through a European city, picking up cargo from various places and making the subsequent delivery. As you progress, you can buy more vehicles, warehouses, and hire drivers to work. This title is addictive as few. Developed by SCS Software, Euro Truck Simulator 2 is available on Windows, Linux, and Mac.

This award is for that game that keeps you playing late into the night. And the Counter-Strike series is a true reference in these situations with online matches at any hour, regardless of whether it's day or night. This latest installment, Global Offensive, features modernized versions of classic maps, as well as new maps, characters, and game modes. That said, remember that if you have to get up early the next day, avoid playing it because you'll fall into the old and beloved "one more match" until you realize it's 3 a.m. Developed by Hidden Path Entertainment along with Valve Corporation, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is available on Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Mac, and Linux.

The Walking Dead

Category: "I'm not crying, I just have something in my eye"

"Games are fun. But sometimes a game goes beyond fun and affects you in unexpected ways. This award celebrates a game that took your feelings by surprise. You didn't think you'd cry. That wasn't the plan, but it happened." Anyone who has played the first season of The Walking Dead knows exactly what those words mean. The story of Lee Everett and Clementine in their attempt to survive a zombie apocalypse is far more emotional than one might expect. If you haven't played it yet, what are you waiting for? Developed by Telltale Games, The Walking Dead is available on Windows, Mac, Ouya, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Android, iOS, and Kindle Fire HDX devices.

Goat Simulator

Category: "The Best Thing You Can Do With a Farm Animal"

"Animals are great, and any game is better when it has animals in it. However, this game made the best use of a farm animal." Many might agree with that (others prefer to play real games), especially when this attempt at a simulator has as its protagonist a crazy goat loose in a suburban environment. From then on, everything is simplified to running, jumping, hitting, and licking objects. All to cause the most damage possible. No words. Developed by Coffee Stain Studios, Goat Simulator is available on Windows, Mac, Linux, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and iOS and Android devices.

Doom

Category: "Boom, Boom"

The return of Doom was the glory of FPS games. Thanks to a faster pace with more open levels, fighting the demonic forces of Hell has never been as fun as in this game. With a large arsenal of weapons, including the old and beloved super shotgun and the powerful BFG 9000, you'll have to eliminate hordes of demons, where you'll encounter old acquaintances like the Revenant, Pinky, Mancubus, and Cyberdemon. And to ensure the fun never ends, nothing beats a few matches in the online mode. Developed by id Software, Doom is available on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Dark Souls III

Category: "Love-Hate Relationship"

Since its first installment, the Souls series has become a challenge for most players. True to its style, Dark Souls III preserves that devilishly high difficulty that distinguishes it from being a simple game that offers a moment of fun, becoming a real challenge that demands player perfection. This installment is the final test that will push you toward greatness or to your limits, questioning your own abilities to rise to the occasion. Dark Souls III is the glorious end of a franchise that will be remembered with much appreciation by its loyal followers. Developed by FromSoftware, Dark Souls III is available on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Left 4 Dead 2

Category: "Better with Friends"

There are some games that simply aren't the same when you play alone. Games that, when played with someone else, immediately become more fun. Left 4 Dead 2 falls into this category, with gameplay centered on cooperation as you try to survive an apocalyptic pandemic. To do so, you must traverse a series of levels while trying to reach a safe zone. Of course, along the way you'll have to fight hordes of zombies (there are several types of zombies) that will require teamwork if you want to reach the end of the scenario alive. Developed by Valve Corporation, Left 4 Dead 2 is available on Windows, Xbox 360, Mac, and Linux.
