Marvel has demonstrated these ten years the formula for making hits on the big screen. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), not everyone fared so well: our Asgardian hero, despite a good start, had his sequel “The Dark World” ruin everything. Instead, Ragnarok, which will turn Thor into a trilogy, seems to herald a facelift to which we say Congratulations!
Everything points to this third installment doing better than its predecessor, with a more than interesting cast and many appealing characters. Among them are Cate Blanchett (Hela), Jeff Goldblum (the Grand Master), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Mark Ruffalo (Hulk). Throughout the trailer we can see Thor's hammer destroyed by the villain Hela, who takes over Asgard and imprisons our protagonist, who will go from Asgardian god to gladiator.
The highlight comes in a combat arena where Thor in gladiator mode takes on Hulk. We may be missing details, but at first glance, and judging by the armor worn by the green giant, the reference to the comic Planet Hulk is clear. As we know, since there is no solo Hulk movie due to rights issues between Marvel and Universal, Bruce Banner will appear in this third installment as a co-protagonist.
The truth is that Thor: Ragnarok gives good impressions, but to clear any doubts, we'll have to wait until November 2 to find out.
