TSMC reported NT$511.86 billion in consolidated revenue for September 2026 on October 8. That was 54.6% more than in September 2025, but 0.6% less than in August 2026, according to the company’s release.
September’s revenue in context
The two comparisons use different baselines: September revenue rose sharply year over year while edging down from the previous month. Revenue measures sales; it is distinct from profit, which accounts for expenses.
| Reporting period | Consolidated revenue | Change from the same period in 2025 |
| September 2026 | NT$511.86 billion | +54.6% |
| January–September 2026 | NT$3,898.73 billion | +41.1% |
TSMC’s revenue for January through September was NT$3,898.73 billion, up 41.1% from the same nine months in 2025. The cumulative total puts September’s result within a longer period of year-over-year growth, even as the monthly figure slipped from August.
CNBC corrected its report to say September sales did not reach a record high. The outlet also described TSMC as benefiting from demand for advanced AI chips. That is industry context, not a cause TSMC attributed to September’s increase: the figures are consolidated revenue totals, rather than a breakdown assigning growth to AI demand (CNBC).
