Unite.AI reported that GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol, and GPT-6 Luna entered a private preview on Google Cloud for selected enterprise customers on October 21, 2026. OpenAI announced its Google Cloud partnership that day and said general availability was planned for the coming weeks.
The preview report concerns the partnership NeoTeo covered when OpenAI announced it, while adding model names and a limited-access status.
Three GPT-6 models in a reported private preview
Unite.AI named GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol, and GPT-6 Luna as the models in the reported preview for selected enterprise customers. OpenAI’s announcement described its “frontier models” without naming them. The preview report and the planned general-availability timeline describe different stages of the rollout.
What Google Cloud’s public model page lists
Google Cloud’s OpenAI model documentation lists managed API and self-deployed options for gpt-oss 120B and gpt-oss 20B. It lists global for gpt-oss 120B and us-central1 for gpt-oss 20B. Those are the entries on the public page; the GPT-6 names appear in the separate private-preview report.
Marketplace purchases, Codex, and the timeline
OpenAI said purchases would go through Google Cloud Marketplace. Enterprises with Google Cloud spending commitments would be able to apply those commitments to purchases. The partnership also includes Codex agentic workflows.
In its October 21 announcement, OpenAI said general availability was planned for the coming weeks. It also said OpenAI models were expected to become available in Google Antigravity and Gemini Agent soon.
