OpenAI said on October 21, 2026, that it plans to offer its frontier models and Codex agentic workflows through Google Cloud’s Model Garden, with purchases routed through Google Cloud Marketplace. OpenAI plans general availability in the coming weeks and says Microsoft remains its primary cloud partner.

How the planned Google Cloud route works

Model Garden is the planned access point for OpenAI’s models and Codex workflows. Google Cloud Marketplace will handle purchases. OpenAI also says eligible enterprises with existing Google Cloud spending commitments will be able to apply those commitments to purchases through the new route.

OpenAI points to Google Cloud’s access controls, centralized data governance, and high-performance infrastructure as part of the enterprise offering.

Google Cloud adds a channel, while Microsoft remains primary

OpenAI describes Google Cloud as an additional route for distributing its products and says Microsoft remains its primary cloud partner. The announcement presents the two relationships as continuing alongside each other.

More Google tools are part of the plan

OpenAI says its models are also expected to become available in Google Antigravity and Gemini Agent soon. General availability for the Google Cloud offering is planned for the coming weeks, according to the October 21 announcement.
