I'm crazy about how good this series is. I haven't enjoyed a sci-fi series this much since Battlestar Galactica. And good sci-fi! None of those wizards with laser swords here! The Expanse is dirty, raw, and brutal: suffice to say that spaceships here don't have shields or lasers, just pure ammunition and torpedoes. Battles are bloody and painful. G-force kills you and the void is terrifying. Plus, pure cosmic horror. That said, the first season is sloooow and packed with information. You have to be patient, because from episode 1 of the second season everything explodes. The sixth and final season is halfway through, and by then the series is complete.
