Sometimes, when I wake up in the middle of the night, I get up slowly, without making noise, without turning on any light. And on tiptoes, barely breathing, I go to the window that faces the dark backyard of my house. Then, with a single pull and without warning, I fling the curtain open, expectant. I hope to, someday, glimpse something that was not designed to be noticed by my mortal eyes, to catch reality itself by surprise. But no, the world—for now—has always been there, unchanged, every damn time.

But you don't come here to listen to my existential laments, my longing to find something beyond this universal flatness, no. You come here to see funny, interesting images, the kind that challenge your senses. There's a lot of that today in the Dump, which is not made to disappoint. Much of that same fantasy I seek in life, though I always crash against the harsh truth. Ah, and there's also a movie that goes that way. The last fantasy for now, to complete the trilogy we started two weeks ago. I hope you like it and it doesn't disappoint you, like my dark and totally ordinary backyard disappoints me every night.

And to finish the trilogy of fantasy gems started weeks before, we close with this genius by Terry Jones, another of the Monty Python members who knew how to make good cinema. A super crazy comedy that many haven't seen, starring a well-intentioned Viking who must reach Valhalla to ask the gods to end Ragnarok. It's a beauty from start to finish. The best character? The Catholic priest who doesn't believe in Viking myths. One of my favorites.
