Winamp2-js is an online music player based on the legendary Winamp. This web version has the same appearance as the classic Winamp and lets you open multiple songs from your computer and play them directly from your web browser. The interface feels very similar to the desktop version, and it also supports drag and drop, detaching windows, keyboard shortcuts, an equalizer option, and playlist management. Some features are not yet available, such as adding songs from a URL, but we hope this service will arrive in future updates.
You can drag and drop songs from your computer onto the player, and once your playlist is ready, you can rearrange the order and even delete songs.
The sound fidelity of this web-hosted version is very good. In our tests, treble and bass sound perfect. The platform supports as many songs as you want to drag in; throughout our testing, the interface never crashed or affected the browser. That makes it suitable for daily use, music sessions, or even large events.
A trip down memory lane
For nostalgic users, the arrival of Winamp2-js is excellent news, and for new generations, it's a great way to discover one of the music players that has left its mark since its launch.
