Withings says accounts created on or after October 13, 2026, need an active Withings+ membership for automatic syncing to third-party apps, including Apple Health and Google Health Connect. Accounts created on or before October 12 keep free automatic syncing, according to the company’s October 15 clarification.

Which accounts need Withings+?

The cutoff depends on when you created your Withings account—not when you bought a scale or another device.

Withings says an account created by October 12 keeps free syncing even if its owner later buys another Withings device. Buying new hardware does not change that account’s eligibility.

What happens to your data without a membership?

Without an active membership, automatic syncing pauses, Withings says, but the company says stored data is not deleted. Syncing resumes when the membership becomes active again.

Withings also says users can still import data from other apps and export their full history as CSV or PDF. HealthLink and PDF reports remain options for sharing information with a doctor.
