Long story short: With each major Windows release, new optimizations become necessary. Adjusting power saving, reducing memory usage, removing bloatware, deactivating absurd services, and blocking telemetry can take a lot of time without the right tools, but the XToolBox pack aims to bring them all together in one place. It contains more than 50 programs and scripts with a very advanced profile, and in some cases, dangerous ones.
All Windows users are condemned to an eternal dance: What Microsoft considers “appropriate” for most computers is nothing more than a generic profile loaded with junk, with irrelevant services running in the background, frequent connections to the mothership, and hotfixes that often make things worse.

In Redmond, they haven't gotten the message, and that means the heavy lifting is left to us. Fortunately, there is a wide range of tools focused on optimizing Windows, and the XToolBox launcher just simplifies the process of downloading and running them.
XToolBox: Optimizing Windows with Scripts and Applications
XToolBox uses the system console to present its interface, and the first thing we need to understand are its legends. In essence, green entries are recommended, red ones represent some risk or danger, and those marked “DNGR” have the potential to ruin existing Windows installations. The keyword here is “potential”, but it's never a bad idea to experiment with a virtual environment before doing major surgery.
The launcher also offers programs that are very familiar. ShutUp10 in the Debloat section, NVSlimmer to clean up Nvidia drivers, Brave, LibreWolf and Firefox as browsers, Chocolatey to help us download applications, qBitTorrent as an open-source BitTorrent client, and MalwareBytes to detect and clean malware.
The second page of XToolBox focuses on Linux distros, Windows images, additional packages like the DirectX redistributable and .NET 4.8, modified versions of Windows, Rufus and BalenaEtcher for managing images, and secondary apps like KeePassXC and PowerToys.
