Yandex said infrastructure at its data center in Russia’s Vladimir region was damaged in a drone attack and the facility stopped operating, according to reports published Oct. 11, 2026. El Mundo carried the company’s account; DW also reported the damage and shutdown.

Reported service interruptions

El Mundo reported interruptions in several Russian regions affecting Yandex Go, Yandex Pay, Yandex Yedá and Alisa. DW separately reported that Yandex Cloud services were suspended.

The Vladimir report followed earlier reports involving Yandex facilities in Sasovo and Kaluga. NeoTeo’s earlier coverage covered those incidents.

Local power and Yandex’s response

Alexandr Avdéev, governor of Vladimir, said two substations serving 5,000 people had disconnected and electricity would be supplied through a reserve arrangement, according to El Mundo.

Yandex said no one was injured, DW reported. El Mundo reported that the company’s team was assessing damage and considering possible plans to resume services.
