De Tecno Camon 15 past bij wie een ruime accucapaciteit belangrijker vindt dan een scherp scherm. De 5000 mAh-accu heeft meer capaciteit dan die van de meeste telefoons uit ongeveer dezelfde tijd. Dat is zijn duidelijkste pluspunt.
Het 6,6-inch IPS LCD-scherm heeft een resolutie van 720 × 1600 px en een pixeldichtheid van 266 ppi, lager dan bij de meeste telefoons uit die tijd. De beeldverhouding is 20:9 en het scherm heeft een uitsparing voor de camera. De cameraresolutie van 48 MP ligt hoger dan bij de meeste tijdgenoten, maar de camera als geheel behoort tot de zwakste van zijn tijd.
