TechTimes reported that an e-commerce-specific version of Qwen Work entered testing on October 14, 2026. The next day, it reported that Tmall president Liu Bo said AI would enter merchants’ internal business workflows comprehensively starting in 2027. His reported remarks described broad AI integration; the separate test report named Qwen Work.
The reported plan for Taobao and Tmall sellers
TechTimes said the test version was tailored to e-commerce. It also attributed to Liu a wider 2027 horizon for AI in merchants’ workflows. That is a reported plan, not a description of a completed rollout.
The reported areas of focus include inventory management, advertising optimization, customer-service automation, and operations such as pricing adjustments and voucher distribution. Together, these tasks span day-to-day store management, from tracking stock and campaigns to handling customer interactions and promotions. E-commerce operations are also the focus of Acbsis.
