Transparencies, high definition, spectacular wallpapers, and few customization options define the interface of Windows 10. In the past we had to be a bit more creative to change the appearance of the operating system, but the number of preconfigured themes from the factory was notable. With Windows 3.1 we had almost two dozen, and some of those themes are still burned into our minds. Let's be honest: Who can forget Hotdog Stand?
Did you know that license availability for Windows 3.11 was extended until November 2008? Of course, you had to be an OEM with embedded systems to access that software, but that was 15 years of support in total, a number not to be sneezed at. Today, getting copies of Windows 3.x is quite easy, even if Redmond does not approve those methods.
Its installation process is a true trip to the past (remember you will need MS-DOS, and there are thousands of shareware programs to install), and one of the first things to do is customize the interface.
