Android 17 rollout reported for the Moto Razr Ultra 2026 in the US
The reported update is specific to the Moto Razr Ultra 2026. Its build number, download size and security patch belong to that model’s update; they should not be taken as details for other Motorola phones.
What the Razr Ultra update changes
The Razr Ultra update was reported to include refreshed and themed icons, a revised Settings interface, and customizable actions for a double press of the AI Key. The reported software changes also include Live Updates, Notification Summaries, Pause Point, HDR display controls and haptic feedback when dismissing notifications.
Live Updates present ongoing activities, while Notification Summaries recap long messages and group conversations. Pause Point briefly delays access to selected distracting apps. The HDR controls include an intensity setting. These are features described for the Razr Ultra update, not a universal feature list for every Motorola model.
The AI Key customization connects this update to Motorola Qira. Our earlier coverage of Motorola Qira and Android 17 explains the broader assistant rollout to eligible devices.
Other Motorola models named in rollout reports
Separate reports named the Edge 60 Fusion, Edge 60 Pro and Motorola Signature among phones receiving Android 17. They also said the Edge 70 family received the update weeks earlier. A report dated October 6 said the Motorola Razr Fold had not received Android 17 at that point.
Hands-on examples from the Edge 60 Pro and Motorola Signature
English-language walkthroughs show Android 17 features on the Edge 60 Pro and Motorola Signature. On the Edge 60 Pro, Live Updates can display activities such as call duration, media playback, voice recording, screen recording and flashlight status. The walkthrough also demonstrates enabling Live Updates under Settings > Notifications and stacking widgets by long-pressing a widget and choosing the edit-stack option.
On the Motorola Signature, the walkthrough shows lock-screen depth effects, stacked widgets, changes to the control center, notification haptics, Live Updates and AI Key customization. These interface examples apply to the Signature shown in the walkthrough.
Early impressions from the Edge 60 Pro review described performance as slightly smoother than on Android 16, while battery life on mobile data seemed somewhat worse. The reviewer framed both as preliminary personal observations after less than a week of use, not standardized measurements.
