Anvil Studio is a powerful multitrack MIDI sequencer. The tool also lets you edit and compose digital audio and samples. Creating musical pieces with the platform is quite simple, yet you'll achieve a very professional finish.
Main features
Once you download the application from its official page, you'll notice a somewhat unpolished interface, but with all functions visible and a very spacious workspace. From the functions you can record, play, edit audio tracks, compose rhythmic tracks (with your own creations), manage libraries, and insert music via the piano among many other functions.
You'll also find audio effects like delays, volume variations, filters, and reverse effects among others. This free program lets you record one minute per track (both stereo and mono) and create unlimited MIDI tracks.
In our tests, the platform performed very well, and besides all the functions we've mentioned, we highlight the tablature view (ideal for guitarists) and the staff view (both treble and bass clef). This function is ideal for all classical instruments (very useful for a professional musician). We also highlight the practice option 'Practice', where you can try out the notes or the song you're composing before recording it.
Anvil Studio is a free application available for all Windows operating systems, both 32 and 64-bit versions. The environment also offers commercial versions and paid add-ons with which you can expand the tool's features (Print Sheet, Pro-Mix, Music Exercises, Print Sheet and Multi-Audio 8/16).
