We'll start with MuseScore, without a doubt one of the best programs for creating and editing sheet music. From the interface you can import MIDI, MusicXML, GTP, KAR, MD, XML, GP3, GP4, etc. The tool also lets you insert and edit various elements. Once the score is finished, you can listen to it or save it in formats like MIDI, MusicXML, PDF, WAV, Flac, MP3, etc.

Next is Finale Notepad, a powerful score editor. The platform allows you to edit scores for each instrument (separate parts). What stands out is the large number of elements you can insert: tempo, key, accidentals, etc. When you finish editing, you can listen to it or save it as MIDI or MusicXML.
Crescendo Free
Crescendo Free is a score editor backed by NCH. Its powerful built-in editor allows you to import MIDI and CPO files. The interface includes several elements to insert, such as rests, volta, repeats, octave marks, and most importantly transpose the music by key or interval. You can also install third-party suites like WavePad, TempoPerfect, TwelveKeys. When done, you can export in MIDI, WAV, PNG, or PDF. The program is free for home use.
Denemo
Denemo is a sheet music editing program that allows you to import MIDI files, MusicXML, or LilyPond. You can also add elements (rests, measures, notes, clefs, directives, voices, etc.). When finished, you can export as PDF, MIDI, MusicXML, PNG, etc.
TuxGuitar
Finally, TuxGuitar, which only allows you to import MIDI and TEF files, then edit them in its simple editor. The platform has two important features: first, the ability to edit a score for each instrument (violin, guitar, piano, etc.). Second, the ability to add a large number of elements to the score.
