Batman: The Telltale Series is the new episodic adventure from Telltale Games that will take you to discover the fractured mind of Bruce Wayne and the consequences he lives with day after day after becoming Batman.
Telltale Games has already captivated us with strong and violent stories in titles like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. This time, its next game will be based on the Dark Knight of DC Comics. Batman: The Telltale Series is the new graphic adventure that will take you to discover the fractured mind of Bruce Wayne and the consequences he lives with day after day after becoming Batman. Your goal will be to try to save a corrupt Gotham City that is under the control of the mafia Falcone family.
Keeping the style of Telltale Games, Batman: The Telltale Series will be divided into five episodes. Here you will assume both the role of the hooded Batman and his alter ego, Bruce Wayne. According to Kevin Bruner, CEO of Telltale Games, the division between these characters will be balanced throughout the episodes, although sometimes the game will lead you to resolve a certain situation as Wayne or Batman. The game will offer a new interpretation of the Batman universe set in a modern era, and will not be tied to any existing iteration of Batman in games, movies, or comics.
According to Bruner, the game takes place a few years after Wayne decides to become Batman, and we will see known characters such as Selina Kyle, Harvey Dent, Vicki Vale, Alfred Pennyworth, and Lieutenant James Gordon. In addition to the classic decision-making that will affect the story throughout the episodes, Batman: The Telltale Series includes action sequences that are resolved through Quick Time Events and investigation sequences, where you have to use Batman's detective skills to advance the story. Batman: The Telltale Series is being developed by Telltale Games and the first episode will be available on Windows, Mac, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, iOS, and Android starting August 2, 2016.
