Waiting is part of life, but a little fun makes it bearable. When the internet drops, Google's dinosaur comes to the rescue, and Edge users get Surf, an homage to the classic SkiFree. Taking that idea further, GitHub user Sanakan8472 created Copy Dialog Lunar Lander, a small game that appears when you start copying large files, using the performance graph as a "map" for a Lunar Lander clone.

If you need to copy or move hundreds of gigabytes, Windows is going to take its time. That's where Copy Dialog Lunar Lander steps in: a clone of the classic Lunar Lander hidden inside the file copy dialog.

Download the game, open its executable, and copy files. That's all! Of course, the larger the file, the longer the game lasts, but there's a twist: Copy Dialog Lunar Lander uses the performance graph as a map for landing the capsule. Depending on the stability of the copy process, the lunar surface can be easy to master... or a true nightmare.
Its developer, Sanakan8472, explains on the official profile: Thanks to the lack of consistency in storage units, internet speed, and VPN transfers, the number of available levels is basically infinite. Even if you copy the same file twice or repeat an operation, the playing surface will be different.
Finally, you can always change the color with some combinations. For instance, if you pause the file transfer, the Moon turns into a desert. High contrast mode shows a "frozen planet", and combining pause with high contrast gives you a nuclear wasteland. Give it a try!
