The Legends Team

The Legends of Tomorrow team consists of The Atom, White Canary, Heat Wave, Captain Cold, Firestorm, Hawkgirl, Hawkman, and the aforementioned Rip Hunter. As seen in the trailer, this mix of heroes and villains on the same side will have its relationship problems among several team members. Also, special appearances by Arrow, Flash, and Black Canary were glimpsed, whether in flashbacks or to lend a hand in some episodes.

The villain this time is Vandal Savage, an immortal being who throughout history has manipulated major leaders to gain control over the world.

One interesting detail is a phrase Rip Hunter says: "I've seen Men of Steel die and Dark Knights fall" – a clear reference to the existence of Superman and Batman in the DC television universe.

The lead cast includes Victor Garber (The Flash, Alias), Brandon Routh (Arrow, Superman Returns), Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who), Caity Lotz (Arrow), Ciara Renée (Pippin), Falk Hentschel (StreetDance 2), Franz Drameh (Edge of Tomorrow), Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller (The Flash, Prison Break).
