What is Desygner?
Desygner is an online application for creating and editing designs collaboratively. With its tools, you can produce everything from social media images to street posters. Although group work isn't real-time, the service offers templates, fonts, shapes, and images to make design easier. Of course, you can also design alone, without a team.
Once you enter the web environment, you'll need to register or sign in with your Facebook account. From its interface, you can choose to start from scratch or use some of its templates.
The first thing you'll need to select is the type of design you want to create. You can choose from a Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, or Snapchat image, as well as social media covers, custom images, advertising banners, invitation cards, and presentation items, among other options. The environment provides a large number of tools for creating or editing designs. This way, you can manipulate text, upload or insert images, place templates, and configure the design, among other functions.
To share the creation with other users and enable collaborative design, the other members will need to create an account on the platform, then enter the design and observe the changes made. As we mentioned at the beginning, the design view is not real-time for the other group members, and the program lacks communication tools, so the community will have to coordinate through an external channel. Once the design is finished, you can export it in JPG, PNG, or PDF format.
All of Desygner's content is royalty-free. This means you can use it for anything without legal issues or paying usage licenses. The free version, as always in these cases, has some limitations. For example, some templates can only be used with a premium account, as is also the case when you want to save items to your resource library, among other things. To enable all of the application's content, you'll need to pay $9.99 per month, something we only recommend if you're a professional designer. If you just need a logo for your social media or a label or flyer for personal use, the free plan's tools are more than enough.
In short, Desygner is a very good platform for creating and editing designs through community collaboration. And although it has many things to improve, it features templates and tools that aren't found in other online utilities.
