For some time now, we have been waiting for news like this. Finally, during E3 2015, Square Enix officially announced it to the delight of fans. And now an incredible trailer of Final Fantasy VII Remake in motion has been revealed.
During the weekend, the second PlayStation Experience took place at the Moscone Center, a convention center and the largest complex in San Francisco, California. There, something that many had been eagerly awaiting was on display: the trailer of Final Fantasy VII Remake in motion. The video shows several scenes from Cloud's first mission upon joining the Avalanche group, attacking one of the main Mako reactors in the capital city of Midgar. Unlike the various adaptations of Final Fantasy VII that have been released for computers and other high-definition platforms, the game is a remake completely built from scratch, with polygonal graphics, unlike the pre-rendered environments of the original title.
Now all characters have their own voices, and Final Fantasy VII Remake's battle system offers a real-time menu system that allows players to freely control Cloud or one of his allies, using their respective weapons to attack enemies. Magic can be used, and creatures (the famous Summons) can be invoked, and the Limit Break gauge remains, allowing characters to unleash their most powerful attacks once charged. Another detail is that this remake will be released in a series of several chapters, each offering its own experience.
After the presentation, game director Tetsuya Nomura took the stage, but not with news of a release date or a playable demo. Instead, he announced that the PC version of Final Fantasy VII had already been released on PlayStation 4 through its online store. Final Fantasy VII Remake is being developed by Square Enix together with CyberConnect2 and will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4. For now, the game does not have a concrete release date.
