If I didn't know anything, I'd say it's the closest thing to an adaptation from the Hotline Miami universe… except it takes place in California. Pedro Pascal and Tom Hanks in the same movie, Ben Mendelsohn playing the villain (of course), a basketball player turned samurai… Freaky Tales is clearly a madcap idea, and that's why it catches attention. Its original premiere was at Sundance last year, however, it will hit theaters on April 4 in the United States.
