In a report published October 16, 2026, GameGPU said a Benchmarks for Gamers test of Watch Dogs: Legion recorded 41 FPS on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 with DLSS 5’s two-pass mode, down from 114 FPS in the same night scene. In a separate daytime scene, the reported result fell from 118 to 61 FPS with single-pass cinematic mode. Those are drops of 73 FPS and 57 FPS, respectively. GameGPU reported the test and its results.
Reported FPS changes by scene
| Scene | DLSS 5 mode | Without additional processing | With additional processing | Change from that scene’s baseline |
| Night, Piccadilly Circus | Two-pass | 114 FPS | 41 FPS | −73 FPS (about 64%) |
| Daytime | Single-pass cinematic | 118 FPS | 61 FPS | −57 FPS (about 48%) |
Each percentage is calculated from its own scene’s starting frame rate: 73 ÷ 114 in the night scene and 57 ÷ 118 in the daytime scene.
Test conditions and what the results show
GameGPU reported 3840 × 2160 output, Ultra graphics settings, ray tracing enabled and DLSS Quality upscaling in both conditions. The listed system included an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, DDR5-6000 memory with 30-36-36-76 timings and Windows 11 24H2.
The 41 FPS and 61 FPS results do not establish which DLSS 5 mode is faster: the two modes were measured in different scenes. GameGPU’s report is dated October 16, 2026; it does not state when the benchmark was run.
