Halo 5: Guardians – The Hunt Is About to Begin
Halo 5 Guardians

Spartan Jameson Locke is leading a hunt to capture Master Chief, who has decided to leave the UNSC in search of answers. An epic story is about to mark the biggest evolution in Halo's history with the imminent release of Halo 5: Guardians.

Halo 5: Guardians revolves around Master Chief, protagonist of the previous four installments, and Spartan Jameson Locke, who first appeared in the 'Terminals' of Halo 2 Anniversary and in the miniseries Halo: Nightfall (both stories created to give connectivity to the character with this new game). Master Chief has decided to abandon the UNSC along with Blue Team, but ONI sends the Fireteam Osiris assault team, led by Locke, to track him down and discover what is happening. Let's see some of the action that awaits us in Halo 5: Guardians' gameplay:

Among the main new features of Halo 5: Guardians, we have the ability to control the character while giving orders to our squad of soldiers, adding a tactical element to the campaign. And speaking of the campaign, there will also be an online cooperative mode for four players that spans three worlds. The multiplayer offers a new mode called Warzone where up to twenty-four players, whether human or AI-controlled, can compete while trying to complete a variety of objectives. In Arena mode, the very essence of Halo, you can test your skills in four-versus-four battles.

Unlike previous games in the franchise, Halo 5: Guardians will not feature any local modes, including split-screen cooperative campaign and multiplayer modes; nor will it have any LAN options. The removal of split-screen has caused controversy among fans, and several petitions have been made to include local split-screen functionality for the game, but so far the responsible studio has confirmed nothing. Halo 5: Guardians is being developed by 343 Industries and will be available exclusively on Xbox One starting October 27, 2016.
