If you want to host files directly from your PC, the solution is called Hostyoself, a service that lets you host a file or a static web page from your computer. What the platform does is turn your PC into a server to host files at a specific URL. Doing this task without the help of Hostyoself is quite complicated. The environment saves you from installing a web server program and configuring port forwarding, among other things.

Method One: How to Turn Your Computer into a Server
First, go to the Hostyoself releases page and drag and drop the folder or file you want to share into the box “Drag and drop a folder or click to share a file”. Once done, the service will give you a unique URL that you can share with anyone. All the files, folders, or the website you dragged will be hosted at that URL.
Method Two: How to Turn Your Computer into a Server from the CMD Window
For this, first download the Hostyoself program. Then place the EXE file in the folder you need to share. Now, open a CMD window and type the following command:
hostyoself hostThis way, the platform will give you a URL where the files, folder, or website you need to share will be hosted.
Remember that if you turn off or restart the source computer (where the file is hosted), or if you have internet service interruptions, the connection to the hosted file or folder will be disrupted until it is restored.
If you need to quickly host files or a web page from your computer, without the need to configure port forwarding and a server, Hostyoself is undoubtedly the best option. In our tests, we haven't found any file format restrictions.
