If you want your computer to read aloud the text you have copied to the clipboard, look no further. With Simple TTS Reader, that task becomes easy and very fast—you only need to install a small application. The audio will play from your computer, but you won't be able to pause the reading of the clipboard text.
Getting Started
Once you download the program from its official page, the interface automatically detects your computer's language and also offers English. After selecting the voice (these are Microsoft's speech voices), you only need to adjust volume and speed. We left the Volume and Rate controls at their defaults and everything worked perfectly.
Testing the Application
Below the interface, you'll find the Test option, which lets you type any text to hear it spoken. In our tests, everything worked great, and the pronunciation was impeccable.
Reading Clipboard Text
After everything is tested and configured, you just minimize the app to the system tray and copy any text with the Ctrl+C shortcut, or use the paste option from the mouse's auxiliary button. The program will then start playing the audio of whatever is in the clipboard.
Final Thoughts
The platform is an excellent choice for playing audio of the text stored in the clipboard. Although an off option and support for multiple languages would be really necessary, in our tests everything worked flawlessly—no errors, no delays, and perfect pronunciation.
