Square Enix has prepared two games in the Kingdom Hearts series. The first is the third collection with Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and the second is the awaited Kingdom Hearts III, which has a new preview with part of the gameplay.
A New Trailer and Gameplay Preview
A few days ago Square Enix presented a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue that culminates with the preview of another game in the series, Kingdom Hearts III. In the video you can see part of the gameplay that remains similar to previous titles; Tetsuya Nomura, director of the game, had clarified that the combat would be similar to the system seen in Kingdom Hearts II, with an evolution similar to what was seen from the first Kingdom Hearts to Kingdom Hearts II, and closely linked to the gameplay of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Kingdom Hearts III
Once again Sora, along with Donald Duck and Goofy, face hordes of Heartless and Nobodies, classic enemies of the series. The story of Kingdom Hearts III takes place after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, where Sora and his friends are searching for the seven guardians of light to prevent a war by Master Xehanort. Kingdom Hearts III is being developed by Square Enix 1st Production Department and will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For the moment the game does not have a specific release date.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
On the other hand, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is the new high-definition remastered edition of the Kingdom Hearts series. This collection is similar to the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix and includes a remake of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, movie-style cinematics of Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover where the mysterious legend of the Foretellers is narrated, and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep–A Fragmentary Passage, a new game that takes place after the events of Birth by Sleep from Aqua's perspective. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is being developed by Square Enix 1st Production Department and will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4 at some point in 2016.
