Lyte is a online collaborative task manager with checklists, file sharing, tables, and more. The platform lets you create and manage unlimited tasks through a simple-to-understand panel. In each task you can add various elements such as checklists, tables, hyperlinks, and even attach several types of files. But one of the best features of the environment is the ability to add “Milestone” to tasks, which will help you highlight any important stage of the task and monitor its progress. To get community assistance both in creation and administration, the utility allows you to invite as many collaborators as you want and assign a specific task to each of them.
Creating a task
After you register on the Lyte page, you'll need to create a task. To do this, click the “New Task” button. At this point, a task editor opens where you enter the task title, set the expiration date, add a description (for you and collaborators), add checklists, tables, attachments, and more. The tool lets you create all the tasks you need and you can grant them a degree of privacy: private or public. To visualize the status of each task, you'll need to enable the “Milestone” action.
Inviting collaborators
After creating one or several tasks, you can invite collaborators. To do so, open the task editor and click the “Invite” button, located in the top right corner. Simply enter the user's email address to complete the invitation. To assign a specific task to the invited person, enter the email ID in the field adjacent to the due date. The task will automatically become visible on the collaborators' board, and together they can view or edit it, depending on the granted rank.
Milestones and other features
Another very good feature of the tool is “Milestone”. This function allows you to mark the main stages of tasks and, of course, follow the progress of the task. To set the Milestone, you'll need to open a task and in the editor, click at the bottom of the calendar or enable it from the left side menu. You can create unlimited “Milestone” and add tables and attachments to them.
You can also add checklists, add tables, attach files to each task for collaborators to see, format text in different ways, and add comments to texts, among many other functions. In short, Lyte is a collaborative, free, and online task manager that comes with many features that turn the platform into a comprehensive tool for creating and managing team tasks.
