Starting from Scratch

In Mad Max you start with nothing, as your family and car have been taken from you. All that remains is to survive and get your revenge. The first thing you must do is build a new car, and for that, nothing better than the old car cemetery. Here you can acquire the necessary parts to create and customize your vehicle however you like. As you progress, you'll get better parts that increase attack, defense, and speed. But the action isn't limited to driving; Max must also equip himself with weapons and armor to stand a chance against his enemies.

Surviving the Wasteland

As you advance, you'll need to improve your gear and skills to survive the brutal forces of the wasteland. As you might imagine, ammunition is extremely scarce in Mad Max, but there are plenty of weapons at your disposal that can be just as deadly. The wastelands are also full of valuable scrap that you can use to forge new weapons, reinforce armor, and upgrade your car. If you want to increase your chances of survival, you can't let anything stand in your way. You have to be ruthless with your enemies.

Allies and Combat

While traversing the open world, you'll meet various characters with whom you can form alliances, as they will help by providing equipment during your journey. When you control Max, gameplay becomes a sort of Batman: Arkham style, where you can attack aggressively or move stealthily to infiltrate villains' dens. On the other hand, when you're aboard your vehicle, the action is more like Twisted Metal, where your control of the wheel and the weapons you have equipped decide whether you'll be the victor. Mad Max is being developed by Avalanche Studios and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (Windows and Linux) starting on September 1, 2015.
