Mojang, the studio behind Minecraft, has partnered with Telltale Games to create Minecraft: Story Mode, a story campaign for Minecraft. True to Telltale's style, the game is being developed episodically, where the narrative unfolds based on the decisions you make, whether through conversations with characters or the actions you choose.
Mojang is working with Telltale Games, known for episodic graphic adventures like The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and Game of Thrones, on a new spin-off of the popular Minecraft. Titled Minecraft: Story Mode, this adventure game will feature a story campaign set in the Minecraft world and will be a five-part episodic series. As is typical of Telltale, the story will flow through the decisions you make, either via conversations with characters or through actions you choose in specific situations.

A Minecraft game with a story? Yes, you read that right. You take control of Jesse. He and his group of friends discover that something terrible has been unleashed in their world, and they must set out on a journey to find The Order of the Stone, a group of four legendary warriors who slew a powerful dragon in the past, so they can be saved from this imminent threat. If you've played Telltale games, you already have a good idea of the decision-based gameplay you'll enjoy in Minecraft: Story Mode.
Voice Cast and Platforms
This decision system can change the story of Minecraft: Story Mode immediately or later with the release of the episodes that make up the adventure. Another interesting detail is the cast of actors providing voices for the characters, including Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille), Brian Posehn (The Sarah Silverman Program), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Martha Plimpton (The Goonies), among many others. Minecraft: Story Mode is being developed by Telltale Games and will be available on Windows, Mac, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and iOS and Android systems. The game doesn't have a concrete release date, but it's expected to arrive sometime in 2015.
