Mobile Games of the Week (07/20/16)
Teeny Titans

Time to break up the middle of the week with a new edition of mobile games. Today we have Teeny Titans, a collectible figure and RPG battle game, Day of the Tentacle, a classic from another time, and OTTTD, a strategy game with lots of explosions. The best games for the mobile device you carry everywhere.

Buddy & Me

Buddy & Me: Explore the enchanted forest that appears in a child's dreams, where each night he walks through it with his best friend, a magical flying creature named Buddy (similar to the old and beloved Falkor from The NeverEnding Story). Buddy & Me is a platforming adventure, similar to an endless runner, where you have to run through this magical forest, jumping between tree houses and hanging from various objects to collect as many stars as possible before time runs out. In this forest there are also countless obstacles you must avoid at all costs, but the good stuff comes when in some sections you ride on top of Buddy. Developed by Sunbreak Games, Buddy & Me is available for iOS and Android (Amazon Store).

Day of the Tentacle

Day of the Tentacle: A classic of graphic adventures now in remastered version. The story of Day of the Tentacle introduces us to Dave Miller as he attempts to rescue his girlfriend from a mad scientist. Using a point-and-click interface, you must guide Dave and two of his six friends to explore the scientist's mansion, solving puzzles and avoiding various dangers. This remastered edition features a new hand-drawn art design and high resolution, and remastered sound, music, and effects, among several more surprises. And for the nostalgic ones, you can switch between classic and remastered modes at any time with just one button press. Developed by Double Fine Productions, Day of the Tentacle is available exclusively for iOS.

OTTTD

OTTTD: The year is 2136. You are part of HEROCORP, a private military force of the universe. Your job is to "defend preemptively" Earth against aliens from other dimensions. OTTTD (Over The Top) is a strategy game that combines Tower Defense and RTS elements to create a tactical challenge through an action-packed campaign. Throughout the campaign you will face space marine creatures (there are zombie sharks) using various heroes, each with their own abilities, until you reach the fight against the boss of the level. In fact, its own developers define this title as "Spaceballs meets Starship Troopers" thanks to its delirious sense of humor where nothing is taken seriously. Developed by SMG Studio, OTTTD is available for iOS and Android.

Teeny Titans

Teeny Titans: Join Robin in this collectible figure and RPG battle game. Teeny Titans lets you form a team and face enemies in three-on-three battles. Switch between different heroes to execute their special abilities and defeat your opponents. Very much in the style of Pokémon, you have to find the seventy Minititan figures, like Terra, Kid Flash, and Batgirl, among many more. Level up and combine your figures to get even more powerful abilities. And don't forget to explore Jump City, visiting each of its stores, completing special missions, and participating in tournaments to unlock new areas and collectible figures. Developed by Cartoon Network, Teeny Titans is available for iOS and Android.

Toy Defense 2 (Free)

Leaving aside the clans and castles of Toy Defense: Fantasy, Toy Defense 2 returns to the roots of the first Toy Defense with toy soldiers that must defend their towers. This sequel immerses you in an epic battle, taking command of powerful vehicles and putting your strategic skills to the test to become the ultimate commander. The game has three modes: a campaign with two hundred ninety missions to complete, a tournament to climb the ranks up to the Golden League, and dynamic multiplayer battles to challenge players from all over the world. Developed by Melsoft, Toy Defense 2 is available for iOS and Android.
