There are plenty of games for your mobile device this week! That's what this section has been promising for years, and we rarely let you down. And this time is no exception: FireWhip, Outside World and Nonstop Chuck Norris, among many other games. Something you'll definitely play!

FireWhip

This game has a very simple premise, but it's difficult to learn to control. Spin the fire whip in the middle of the screen by tracing circles with your finger on the phone screen, with a quick flick and release to strike with the whip. Once you get it, you must learn to use it in a specific direction. The phrase "easy to learn, hard to master" has become a massive cliché in mobile games, and FireWhip is no exception. An interesting detail is that you have a GIF creator that lets you record and share your most spectacular moments. Developed by Dan FitzGerald, FireWhip is available on iOS and Android.

Nonstop Chuck Norris

Mobile Games of the Week (09/11/17)
Nonstop Chuck Norris

Harness the unstoppable power of Chuck Norris to carry on your mobile device! In this (literally) nonstop adventure, help Chuck as he travels across multiple universes, fighting against an infinite horde of punks and all kinds of bad guys while collecting jokes and facts about his legendary status. Your mission in Nonstop Chuck Norris is to save various universes from all kinds of villains using different weapons ranging from baseball bats, chainsaws and even selfie sticks. But none of that compares to the power of the punches and spinning kicks of the almighty Chuck that make this incredible game. Developed by Flare Games, Nonstop Chuck Norris is available on iOS and Android.

Outside World

A title stylistically very inspired by Monument Valley, but calling it a clone would be unfair. Although it has a similar visual appeal, and although its gameplay depends on solving a series of puzzles to get out of each stage, Outside World is a very different beast. Here you control two characters, the corporeal Kyrsten and the spectral Jaynie, who are lost in a strange world and trying to find a way home. You need to use both characters to solve puzzles, which become increasingly difficult, to open doors and escape. A quite pleasant experience, with a feeling between cute and eerie. Developed by Little Thingie, Outside World is available on iOS and Android.

Portal Pinball

There's no doubt that Zen Studios makes the best pinball games. If you haven't played them before and want to try, the studio has Zen Pinball available for free. This particular version is Portal-themed, which means you must guide Chell and Wheatley through the test chambers by navigating portals, using faith plates, defeating turrets and facing other obstacles, and fighting against GLaDOS while trying to escape the facility and reach the surface. Developed by Zen Studios together with Valve, Portal Pinball is available on iOS and Android.

Race the Sun

A third-person racing game in which you pilot a solar-powered ship in a strange landscape, dodging obstacles and collecting multipliers. The fun of Race the Sun is that you have until the sun goes down to get as far as you can, but don't worry because as you progress you can pick up pills that extend daylight, giving you more time to compete. Every 24 hours, the landscape resets and changes, meaning that every day, the game has something different to offer, while completing challenges allows you to add upgrades to your ship. Developed by Flippfly, Race the Sun is available exclusively on iOS.
