The file manager integrated into Windows has accompanied us for years, but one thing is to accompany, and another is to improve its functions. The Norton Commander was one of the applications that forever changed the way of working under DOS. The number of options to customize the appearance of the browsing panels is intimidating at first, however, it only takes a few seconds to find the parameters that adjust the selection colors and file formats, the font type, and the width of each column. Some of its best features are:

- Remembers all your selections when you return from browsing elsewhere within your file system

- You can view and change file permissions.

- Options to edit multimedia files
Multi Commander works with all versions of Windows from XP onwards in 32 and 64 bit editions, and anyone who wants to load it onto a maintenance USB stick can do so without major inconvenience, thanks to its portable version. Unlike other competitors like Total Commander, Multi Commander is completely free, and it appeals to user donations to finance itself. Its latest version is from January 20, 2020 and it is completely free of viruses and third-party programs.
